writer's block

The last leg of my winter vacation with Koko and her family was in Nagano, Japan where I went snowboarding for the first time. Besides the fact that I am really bad at it and that every muscle in my body hurt for several days after leaving Nagano, I still had a great time and I would defiantly like to try it again sometime.

On the second day of snowboarding one of our ski lift tickets came up missing. After about an hour of looking through bags, rummaging lockers and emptying pockets we called off the search determined that we wouldn’t ever find the ticket. That’s about the time I found the lift ticket hidden in the sleeve of my jacket. It was embarrassing.

In the news – On January 12 McDonalds began selling the Mega Mac hamburger in Japan. Within the first 4 days McDonalds sold 3.32 million Mega Mac hamburgers, a demand greatly exceeding their expectations. In fact, this hamburger has been selling out daily simply because Japan can’t get enough of the Mega Mac, a burger with 4 delicious meat patties and 754 delicious calories. Just so you know, according to the calorie burning calculator taken from this website, if I juggle continuously for 163 minutes, use crutches for 131 minutes or butcher animals for 109 minutes I can successfully burn 754 calories.

Speaking of burning calories, I registered for the Sakurajima Half Marathon. The race is on February 25 and I’ve been busily training 5 times a week, rain or shine, to get conditioned for the big day. I’m excited about running my first Half Marathon and I’ll be sure to keep you posted on how it goes.

I’m sure is much more that I have to tell you, but I’ve got writes block so this is all for now. I’ll be sure to post again soon.

good night ~ S R H
