Hello and happy holidays from Japan! With only one week until Christmas it’s likely that some of you are busy finalizing holiday plans and searching for those last minute gifts to buy for me, umm I mean, for that special someone.

For all of us it’s a busy time of the year and even in Nagashima life has recently been nothing but one obligation after the next. While it’s great being involved and staying active I am in dire need of a vacation and counting the days until winter break. This weekend I’ll be flying into Tokyo and then to Yamanashi, near Mt. Fuji, where I where I will remain until after New Years.

Because I have fallen behind with updating my blog I thought the best way to make it up to you would be by sharing an exceptional video of my first grade students dancing. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I promise that once things slow down just a bit I will catch up on all the posts I have been meaning to write so that I can keep you up-to-date on what it is that has been occupying my time. Until then, stay safe and warm and Merry Christmas!
