a gardening update

Greetings! It’s been a while since my last gardening update and because I recently picked my first broccoli of the year I thought now would be a prime time to reveal a few pictures for your viewing pleasure. I couldn’t be happier with how my winter harvest has turned out thus far and I’m certain that the veggies are only going to multiply as the season continues. The other vegetables I’m growing this winter include: cauliflower, cabbage, radishes (2 types), spring onions, and sunny lettuce.

Honestly, I had no idea I would actually be any good at growing vegetables. Who knows, maybe this is my life calling? Besides, working in the garden gives has given me the opportunity to really get to know my neighbor, also a gardener, rather well. She’s always making me tasty food too which is an added little bonus. Curtis swears that she never talks to him nor offers him free stuff and he is certain that it’s because he doesn’t have a garden. Oh well, at least he was still on the front cover of the Nagashima Diary.
