It's Joyful Time.
When it's time to buckle down and study some Japanese it’s quite likely that Curtis and I can be found at Joyful, one of our favorite family restaurants just off the island. Since it stays open 24 hours a day, has a drink and soup bar with unlimited refills, and the prices are nearly the cheapest around it’s always on the top of our lists when we’re looking to get some work done. We do have to be mindful, however, that anytime we visit Joyful or anywhere else in the vicinity for that matter than we will more than likely cross paths with someone we know ( or that knows us). While I’d like to think that I generally have every face of every student living in Nagashima down I do have 16 schools which makes remembering everyone quite a challenge. Just to be safe I usually pretend like I know any kid that ever looks in my general direction. This way if they are one of my students then I am covered and if they aren’t then they just think I am a nice guy. It really is a win win situation!
